Featured ingredients
Chirally Corrected Lactic Acid 5% – Lactic acid is a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid typically found in fermented milk. However, research indicates that a superior form exists in fermented cucumber, which more effectively attracts moisture. Lactic acid assists in smoothing and moisturising the skin by sloughing the dead cells, increasing cellular turnover, and hydrating the skin for a fresher, more youthful complexion. Its rejuvenation properties can be attributed to Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF), which is found in part within lactic acid and has potent skin cell renewal activity.
Lactic acid can also suppress the formation of tyrosinase, thus inhibiting and preventing pigmentation in the skin. This makes it a safe but effective whitening ingredient for a more even skin tone. Alongside pigmentation, lactic acid can treat age spots. Sodium lactate has bacteriostatic properties; incorporating it in cosmetic formulations can lead to more stable bacterial growth.
Finally, lactic acid can improve the levels of ceramide in the skin; it can prevent skin-xerosis or dry skin. This will, in turn, improve the skin’s barrier function, making it a highly effective exfoliant.

Instructions
Apply 2-3 drops of Alive to the entire face area avoiding the eyes. It can be used morning and night or as advised by your health professional. Use sunblock daily. For external use only.
